Hermit Crab Swap

Scruffy Pup loves to watch crabs on the beach, especially hermit crabs! Hermit crabs eventually get too big for their shell and have to get a new one, sometimes one that another hermit crab left....but could Scruffy Pup also do this?!

Birthday Month Means Cakes to Color!

It’s my birthday month and as I’ve done once it the past, I made some fresh coloring pages with the Princess Pups enjoying birthday baked goodies!

Our house is currently going through a kitchen remodel that leaves us with no sink, so birthday cake for this year will be acquired from a local bakery instead of making at home. But the pups don’t have a kitchen remodel which gives Fluff Pup, Corgi Pup and Scruffy Pup the room to make and decorate a three-level cake! (Scruffy Pup is helping by testing the frosting, y’know?)

A coloring page of Fluff Pup, Corgi Pup, and Scruffy Pup at a table with a 3 tiered birthday cake. All the pups are wearing party hats. Fluff Pup and Corgi Pup are adding frosting using frosting tubes while sitting on the table as Scruffy Pup uses a toe from her front paw to sneak some frosting to eat.
It’s important to wear proper birthday hats while decorating birthday cakes!

Meanwhile, as TeaCup Pup was making some Birthday Cupcakes, it seems that Pug Pup got stuck in a giant cupcake? At that point, is it still a cupcake or a very round and domed cake? Pug Pup has also exchanged having a party hat for a very large strawberry!

As a timelapse for this month, here’s the cake decorating page! You can see how indecisive I was about where to put Fluff Pup as she helps decorate a giant 3 layer cake with Corgi Pup – I originally thought it would make sense if she was behind the cake, but then that seemed too awkward to me. And during the inks, I decided the cake needed a frosting bow instead of a flower one. I don’t know how to make either of these on a real cake, but can draw them for sure!

Safari Animal Pals Coloring!

It’s been too hot where I live and I also visited a lot of animals recently at various places! It made me think of how fun it would be for the Princess Pups to go on a safari adventure, which made for a great theme for this month’s coloring pages! Plus, it meant I got to draw the pups in safari vests and hats!

In this month’s first coloring page, TeaCup Pup, Scruffy Pup, and Corgi Pup are visiting a baby giraffe! They also are feeding it, which I got to do with my kiddo a few weeks ago at our zoo in St. Louis! (The name of one of the giraffes we fed was Honey, she was so cute!) Corgi Pup is quite astounded at the height of the baby giraffe that TeaCup Pup and Scruffy Pup are feeding a giant lettuce leaf.

Another animal event I had recently was feeding parakeets, which lead to drawing Fluff Pup and Pug Pup visiting various birdies that may or may not be parakeets? I kinda…winged it a bit on the bird anatomy (see what I did there?) While Fluff Pup is happy to stay on the ground and observe with binoculars, Pug Pup seems to be wanting to get extra close!

Pug Pup might make that branch break if she’s not careful!

Here’s a timelapse for the pups and the baby giraffe coloring page. I found myself adjusting the legs of the giraffe a few times over! If you need more coloring pages, be sure to visit the Coloring Pages section to grab previous sheets!

Beach Friends Coloring Fun!

It’s summer! The pups have gone to the beach again for coloring goodness! And because it’s the coloring ideas that popped out of my sketchbook doodles saying “Yes! Draw these ideas!” 🙂 This month’s first coloring page features Corgi Pup, Fluff Pup and TeaCup Pup hanging out with a sea lion! They all want to learn how to balance a ball on their nose, but they each have a different range of size that they’re practicing with!

Meanwhile, Scruffy Pup has found a new pal in the form of a wandering hermit crab! I’ve always kinda wanted a hermit crab and after looking at reference images for them to draw one…I still do! But we have three pets in our house currently that are all much bigger than a hermit crab. (I don’t want to have to worry about one of them trying to eat it! ) It looks like Pug Pup is also on the beach near Scruffy Pup, but is kinda stuck in the sand? She’s happy with it though!

Scruffy Pup is also rockin’ that visor at the beach

This month’s timelapse was hard to pick, but I really like how the hermit crab turned out so that’s the one I’m posting! Originally, I was going to go closer to my sketch from my sketchbook and just have Scruffy Pup with the hermit crab. But the page felt too empty, and since Pug Pup didn’t make an appearance in the sea lion page, I wanted her included here! Don’t forget if you need other coloring pages besides these newest ones, you can nab them on the Coloring Pages section!

Even MORE Space Based Coloring Pages

The Space Pups, those good sibling pals of the Princess Pups, will be making another appearance soon in the comic! So they get to star in this month’s coloring pages! They made an appearance in February’s coloring pages in case you missed it and this time they’re having more spacey adventures!

In our first coloring page, the Space Pups take a sweet ride on a shooting star through space! They even pass one of their alien pals riding on a different star! Just make sure the lil’ dude eats the correct food…

Spacey siblings Moon Pup and Star Pup at it again riding a shooting star!

In the other page I created for this month, the Space Pups are hard at work in their lab! They’re digging through boxes to find just the right parts for their spaceship repairs.

What parts do the Space Pups need for their rocket? The parts that distribute snacks?

I’ve also started prep work to collect another batch of Princess Pups coloring pages into another full coloring book, where there will be extra activities, including some featuring the Space Pups! No set date yet since I’m in the early planning stages, so for now keep heading to the coloring pages section to get the latest pages and any you’ve missed!

Here’s a swell timelapse of the shooting star coloring page. I like this one so much, I’m going to see if I can color it myself and make some stickers 🙂
